Guaramirim celebrates 77 years of political emancipation

The municipality of Guaramirim is celebrating its 77th anniversary of political emancipation with a series of commemorative events.

A festive parade is scheduled to take place on Friday, starting at 8:30 a.m. on Rua 28 de Agosto. The event will feature participation from local schools, institutions, and community groups. To accommodate the parade, several streets in the central area will face traffic restrictions from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Support structures, including chemical toilets and health assistance points, will be positioned throughout the route. The parade's execution is subject to weather conditions.

In preparation for the anniversary, the Guaramirim City Council held a ceremony to present the Comenda Peabiru honors. Jadir dos Passos, an educator with 40 years of service in the region, and Francisco Herbert Schork, a former vice-mayor and municipal education secretary, were among those recognized for their contributions to the community.
