Guarantã do Norte implements health and nutrition project for children
The City Hall of Guarantã do Norte, through a partnership between the CMEI Gabriela Bedendo Torezzan and the Municipal Health Secretariat, held the ‘Food and Health Project’ on Friday (16). The initiative aimed to promote health, prevention, and healthy habits among children and their families.
Activities included presentations of student work regarding healthy eating, garden projects, and reading incentives. The Municipal Health Secretariat provided community services such as vaccine updates, rapid tests, medical consultations, and guidance on preventing cervical and breast cancer. Additionally, a mobile dental unit (Odontomóvel) offered oral hygiene evaluations and preventive care.
Educational lectures were conducted by a psychologist, a nutritionist, and a physician, focusing on emotional health, family-school partnerships, and healthy nutrition.
