Guarapari and Morro de São Paulo mark regional celebrations and tourism growth
Guarapari is celebrating its 135th anniversary with a four-day event at Praia do Morro from September 18 to 21. The festivities include musical performances by artists such as Pixote and Guilherme & Santiago, religious programming, and cultural activities. A rodeo competition will take place from September 18 to 20, featuring 14 competitors from various Brazilian states; entry requires the donation of 1 kg of non-perishable food to support local vulnerable populations.
In Morro de São Paulo, the recent holiday from September 4 to 7 saw over 6,000 visitors, with accommodation occupancy rates reaching nearly 100%. Local tourism officials view this surge in demand for boat tours, dining, and whale watching as an early indicator of the upcoming high season. The increased activity has benefited various sectors, including hospitality, restaurants, and local commerce.
