Guarapari reaches record high in public transparency ranking
The municipality of Guarapari achieved a record score of 94.9 points in the 2026 public transparency assessment, marking a significant increase of 47.8 points compared to its 2022 score of 47.1. This improvement places the city close to the ‘Diamond’ classification, the highest rating awarded by oversight bodies.
The advancement resulted from a reorganization led by the Municipal Comptroller General (CGM), which involved coordinating data flows across 19 municipal secretariats. Efforts focused on standardizing files, meeting update deadlines, and improving the publication of contracts, revenues, and expenses on the Transparency Portal.
Mayor Rodrigo Borges stated that the result reflects a commitment to public service quality and citizen respect. Municipal Comptroller General Igor Vidon Rangel noted that while the city fell just short of the Diamond seal, the administration aims to correct remaining issues to achieve the maximum rating in the next evaluation cycle.
