Guaratuba Bridge Museum to preserve local history and culture
The Paraná State Government is establishing the Guaratuba Bridge Museum to preserve the history of the Guaratuba Bridge construction and celebrate local Caiçara culture. The project is currently 53% complete, with an expected conclusion between November and December 2026.
The museum represents an investment of R$ 16.5 million, funded through the Paraná Competitivo Program with full contributions from Cooperativa Agrária and Renault do Brasil. The facility aims to boost regional tourism and honor the workers involved in building the bridge, which is recognized as the third-largest sea bridge in Brazil.
Visitors will experience an interactive narrative covering over 70 years of history, from the era of ferry boats in the 1960s to the modern bridge. The museum will utilize technological and scenographic resources, including mapped projections, to showcase the social and economic evolution of the coast.
