Spain police conduct multiple arrests for theft, fraud, and homicide

Spanish law enforcement agencies have conducted several operations resulting in numerous arrests for various crimes across the country.

In Valencia, the National Police arrested a 23-year-old man following a tip from a former teacher; he is accused of killing his stepfather with a dumbbell in the San Isidro neighborhood. Additionally, three women were detained in Valencia for allegedly belonging to a Romanian criminal group targeting tourists to steal cash and valuables.

In other regions, the Guardia Civil arrested a 52-year-old domestic worker in Xert for stealing approximately 20,000 euros worth of jewelry from elderly clients. In Madrid and Guadalajara, five individuals were detained for the theft of nine pieces of heavy machinery, valued between 360,000 and 810,000 euros, which were being prepared for export.

Other notable incidents include the arrest of two people in Alicante for the violent kidnapping and robbery of 20,000 euros in cash, gold, and cryptocurrency, and the detention of three people in Málaga and Madrid for a 'man-in-the-middle' fraud that defrauded a Granada company of 85,000 euros. Local police in Vila-seca also detained two individuals for stealing food and alcohol from supermarkets.
