Guardia Civil arrests Vilagarcía resident for drug trafficking in Sanxenxo

The Guardia Civil in Sanxenxo detained a 26‑year‑old man from Vilagarcía on 7 July during a traffic stop on the PO‑308 road. The suspect voluntarily handed over 100 g of hashish, 100 g of marijuana and 10 g of cocaine, which were seized by the officers.

He was taken to the police station and later released pending further investigation. The case has been forwarded to the Civil Section Court of Cambados for future legal proceedings. The operation follows a recent local police crackdown, including a June arrest of a Cambados resident for possession of cocaine and cash, and a second June stop that yielded additional cocaine and money.
