Guardia Civil associations report poor working conditions in Spain

Spanish law enforcement associations are raising alarms regarding deteriorating working conditions within the Guardia Civil. In Córdoba, the Asociación Unificada de Guardias Civiles (AUGC) has reported a deplorable state of uniforms, noting that some agents have waited nearly three years for technical gear. The organization claims the institution faces significant delays in equipment distribution, forcing personnel to work in worn-out clothing that lacks optimal protection and affects the dignity of the profession.

Simultaneously, the Asociación Independiente de Guardias Civiles (AIGC) has denounced a worsening labor climate in the Ceuta Command. Issues cited include the unilateral imposition of work shifts that impact family life and rest, as well as inadequate locker facilities. The AIGC has also taken legal action regarding administrative orders that required medical leave notifications to be delivered in person, a move the association argues violates administrative procedure laws.
