Guardia Civil busts drug point in Tobarra, fines drunk rider in Gandia
In Tobarra, Albacete province, the Guardia Civil teamed with local police to arrest a 40‑year‑old worker at a nightlife venue. Officers seized 2 g of cocaine, 31 g of hashish, €290 in cash and equipment for drug distribution, dismantling a regional point of sale that served customers from Tobarra and surrounding municipalities. The arrest is part of the Operational Plan against drug trafficking in leisure venues, and the suspect faces a potential 3‑6‑year prison term if convicted.
In Gandia, Valencia province, a traffic unit of the Guardia Civil stopped a 25‑year‑old riding an electric scooter. A breath‑alcohol test showed a level almost four times the legal limit. The driver was fined €1,000, his scooter was immobilized, and he was charged for failing to register the vehicle, a requirement effective from January 2026. Officials said the intervention prevented a potentially serious accident.
