Guardia Civil dismantles drug ring in Menorca
The Guardia Civil has dismantled a drug distribution network in Menorca through an investigation known as ‘Operation Thor’. The operation involved five simultaneous searches in Sant Lluís, Es Castell, and Ciutadella.
Authorities arrested four individuals: three Spanish nationals aged 62, 60, and 42, and one Colombian national aged 33. The suspects face charges of drug trafficking, money laundering, and membership in a criminal group. During the raids, officers seized approximately 850 grams of cocaine, two kilograms of marijuana, and 237,000 euros in cash.
Additional items confiscated include 16 mobile phones, one boat, and five vehicles. The investigation, which spanned six months, targeted a well-organized structure involved in the sale of narcotics across the eastern part of the island.
