Guardia Civil operations involve drone drug rings and UCO judicial probe

Spain is seeing several distinct law enforcement operations and judicial developments. In a major crackdown known as Operation Falcone, the Guardia Civil dismantled a drug trafficking network in Noia, Galicia, that utilized drones for distribution. Ten people were arrested, with seven entering provisional prison.

In a separate judicial matter, the Audiencia Nacional is investigating the Deputy Operational Director of the Guardia Civil. Judge Santiago Pedraz is seeking clarification regarding the origins of files opened against agents of the Central Operating Unit (UCO) to determine if the actions were politically motivated.

Other regional reports include: - In Alcalá de Henares, police issued seven citations for drug possession during the Cervantino Market. - In Almería, the Guardia Civil recovered stolen agricultural tools after tracking their sale on social media. - In the Alto Gállego and Jacetania regions, mountain specialists (GREIM) rescued 16 people during the Pilar holiday weekend. - In Calahonda, authorities are investigating the death of a young Caucasian man whose body was found with a gunshot wound to the head.
