Spanish authorities investigate deaths in Veguellina de Órbigo and Utrera
The Guardia Civil is investigating two separate incidents in Spain. In Veguellina de Órbigo, León, the bodies of two men, aged 57 and 59, were found in the street on Santa Teresa street. The victims were neighbors and friends, and according to the Mayor of Villarejo de Órbigo, José Manuel Acebes, there were no visible signs of violence. The men were found lying on top of each other in front of one of their homes. Authorities are awaiting autopsy results to determine the cause of death.
In a separate incident in Utrera, a 45-year-old man was shot and killed in the El Tinte neighborhood. The victim, known as ‘Negro’, sustained three gunshot wounds to the torso. Preliminary investigations suggest the motive may be related to a 4,000 euro debt. Family members have expressed frustration that the suspect remains at large, describing the act as a premeditated crime rather than a simple settlement of accounts.
