Guardia Civil officer Manuel Gutiérrez retires after 34 years

Manuel Gutiérrez, a member of the Guardia Civil, has entered retirement after a 34-year career. Reflecting on his service, Gutiérrez emphasized that helping others often involves the importance of listening to those in need.

Throughout his tenure, Gutiérrez served in various locations, including his first assignment in Fuentidueña de Tajo. He recalled significant challenges, such as the 1996 snowstorms in Madrid, where he and his colleagues had to travel five kilometers on foot through heavy snow at night to deliver essential medication to a person trapped at a gas station.
