Guardia Civil organizes solidarity races in Salamanca and Soria

The Spanish Guardia Civil has organized solidarity sporting events in Salamanca and Soria to support various social causes.

In Salamanca, the fourth edition of the Guardia Civil race was held, featuring a 10-kilometer competitive run, a 5-kilometer walk, and a ‘Dorsal Cero’ option for non-participating donors. The proceeds from this event are designated for Aerscyl (Asociación de Enfermedades Raras de Castilla y León) to support individuals with rare diseases and their families. The event also served to commemorate the 85th anniversary of the Guardia Civil Information Service.

In Soria, the ‘Carrera Verde’ brought together more than 500 participants to raise funds for Aspace Soria, an organization dedicated to assisting people with cerebral palsy and related disabilities. The event, held in honor of the Virgen del Pilar, successfully raised 4,119 euros. The competition included various categories ranging from youth races to senior and veteran urban runs.
