Guardia Civil probes traffic violations in Cádiz, Spain

The Guardia Civil and the Provincial Traffic Headquarters in Cádiz opened an investigation after a person allegedly used forged documents to sit for a driving theory exam under another applicant's name. Authorities say the suspect may have committed the crimes of identity usurpation (article 401 of the Spanish Penal Code) and document falsification (article 392).

In a separate case, a motorcyclist was captured traveling at 152 km/h on the A‑480 highway, far above the 60 km/h limit between Jerez and Chipiona. The rider is being investigated for a traffic‑safety offence under article 379.1 of the Penal Code, which carries possible prison, fines or driver‑license disqualification.

Both investigations were handled by the Guardia Civil’s Traffic Investigation and Analysis Group (GIAT) under the Road Safety Investigation Unit (UNIS).
