Guardia Civil provides emergency training to rural guards in Pontevedra
The Guardia Civil in Pontevedra conducted a training session for more than 25 rural guards to improve emergency response capabilities. This initiative is part of the Guardia Civil’s Plan COOPERA, which aims to strengthen collaboration and coordination with the private security sector.
The training focused on providing participants with the tools to recognize and manage life-threatening situations before professional medical services arrive. Key topics included basic life support (BLS) techniques for cardiorespiratory arrest, identifying airway obstructions, and the proper application of the Heimlich maneuver. The session combined theoretical instruction with practical application to ensure guards can act quickly and safely during their duties.
