Guardia Costiera conducts leadership changes at maritime offices

The Italian Coast Guard (Guardia Costiera) has conducted leadership transitions at two maritime district offices.

In Porto Santo Stefano, Lieutenant Commander Andrea Cicala has assumed command of the Maritime District Office, succeeding Captain Francesco Luigi Balsamo. The command oversees approximately 200 kilometers of coastline, including the islands of Giglio and Giannutri, and manages significant maritime traffic, tourism, and fishing activities.

In San Giorgio di Nogaro, Alessio Vadi has succeeded Roberto Pellegrino as the head of the maritime district office. The position is considered strategic for the port and lagoon systems of the lower Friuli region, managing maritime safety, economic activities, and environmental protection.
