Guardia di Finanza donates equipment to Red Cross in Modena

The Modena Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza has donated two pulse oximeters and an electric city bike to the local Italian Red Cross committee.

The pulse oximeters, intended for use on ambulances during emergency interventions, were purchased using compensation funds received by a Guardia di Finanza officer. These funds were awarded following a final conviction of an individual for resisting a public official and causing personal injury to the officer during a 2010 patrol.

The electric bicycle, which will support first responders during large public events, was recovered following a theft in 2023. After the perpetrator was caught in the act and the legitimate owner could not be located, judicial authorities authorized the donation of the bike to the Red Cross for charitable purposes.
