Guardiaparco conducts large‑scale waste cleanup in Pratoni del Vivaro, Italy
Park Rangers (Guardiaparco) carried out an extensive remediation operation in the Pratoni del Vivaro area, covering parts of Velletri, Rocca di Papa and Rocca Priora. The effort focused on removing illegally dumped waste along road edges and the shores of Lake Albano, supporting municipal waste‑collection services and protecting the natural heritage of the Castelli Romani. The park authority also plans to install concealed camera traps to identify perpetrators of illegal dumping and strengthen surveillance.
The initiative was highlighted by Park Authority President Ivan Boccali, who emphasized the need for continual cooperation between institutions and citizens to preserve the protected landscape for future generations.
