Guarujá initiates infrastructure and plaza revitalization in Vicente de Carvalho
The city of Guarujá has launched several infrastructure projects in the Vicente de Carvalho district to address long-standing community demands. Through the “Operação Asfalto Novo” initiative, crews are performing comprehensive road resurfacing on major commercial and residential corridors, including Rua Senador Salgado Filho, Maranhão, Floriano Peixoto, Guilherme Backeuser, and Mato Grosso. Unlike temporary pothole repairs, this project involves milling old pavement and applying new asphalt layers to ensure durability.
This roadwork is being conducted by the contractor Fast Seinco in partnership with the Guarujá City Hall and Sabesp. The collaboration aims to restore roads that were previously disrupted by the modernization of underground water and sewage networks. Fast Seinco is also managing the expansion of the district's sewage treatment plant.
Simultaneously, the Praça da Fraternidade is undergoing a complete urban requalification. Following years of abandonment, the revitalization project includes new flooring, accessibility improvements, a playground, and an outdoor gym. This project is a partnership between the Guarujá City Hall and Sabesp, intended to transform the area into a safe space for leisure and community interaction.
