Guarujá rescuer gains attention for rehabilitating debilitated dog

Animal rescuer Mauro Claro has gained significant online attention for his rescue of a dog named Vitório in the Vila Edna neighborhood of Guarujá, Brazil.

Vitório was found in a severely debilitated state, suffering from extreme thinness and mange. Due to the dog's fearful and distrustful nature, Claro had to use a lasso to safely capture the animal before transporting him in a carrier attached to a bicycle. Following the rescue, Vitório received immediate care, including food, water, and veterinary treatment to address his skin condition and overall health.
