Guarulhos announces GuaruMobi+ digital mobility platform

The City Hall of Guarulhos has announced the launch of GuaruMobi+, a new digital platform designed to integrate mobility services and improve citizen connection to the city. Announced during the LAT. BUS Latin American Transport Fair, the platform is part of the ‘Guarulhos Cidade Conectada’ project.

Key features intended for the app include real-time tracking of municipal buses, ticketing services, and digital payment solutions. The platform was developed by the Secretariat of Urban Mobility (Semob) in partnership with Guarupass and utilizes technology from VaideBus. The application is currently undergoing real-world testing with the municipal fleet before its official release.

Some reports note that several features presented as innovations, such as real-time bus location and card recharging, have been available to users in the city since at least 2017 through the CittaMobi application.
