Guarulhos Conservatory to host free jazz improvisation workshop

The Conservatório Municipal de Artes de Guarulhos will host a free workshop titled ‘Harmonia e Improvisação: Stella by Starlight’ on August 19 at 8:00 PM. Held at the Conservatório’s auditorium, the event is designed for students and individuals with intermediate knowledge of music theory.

Led by instructors Armando Leite and Renato Alves, the workshop focuses on the jazz standard ‘Stella by Starlight’ by Victor Young. Participants will engage in harmonic and melodic analysis, learning practical tools and techniques used by professional musicians to develop solos and musical phrasing.

Registration is open from August 10 to August 14 directly at the Conservatório. Capacity is limited to 70 participants, and those who complete the session will receive a certificate of participation.
