Flávio Bolsonaro holds campaign event in Guarulhos amid political shifts
Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL), a presidential candidate, held a campaign event in Guarulhos, São Paulo, where he promised to establish autism care centers across Brazil in partnership with local leaders. During the event, Bolsonaro contrasted his platform with the administration of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, characterizing the current government as representing the “past” and “backwardness.”
The campaign event in Guarulhos was organized with the involvement of São Paulo Governor Tarcísio de Freitas. The choice of location follows electoral data showing Bolsonaro as the most voted presidential candidate in the municipality during the first round.
In a separate development, São Paulo Mayor Ricardo Nunes is reportedly being advised to join the PL party to align with political movements aimed at the 2030 gubernatorial succession. Meanwhile, the Public Ministry of Labor (MPT) has given the São Paulo City Hall 24 hours to respond to allegations of electoral harassment involving municipal employees being pressured to attend political rallies.
