Águas da Imperatriz presents sewage treatment progress in Teresópolis

The water utility Águas da Imperatriz met with representatives from various neighborhood associations in Teresópolis to discuss the implementation schedule for the municipal Sewage Sanitation System (SES).

During the meeting, community leaders visited the construction site of the Paquequer Sewage Treatment Plant (ETE), which is scheduled for inauguration by December. The project aims to expand sanitation services and contribute to the decontamination of the Paquequer River, the primary watercourse in the region.

Superintendent Thiago Sá Freire noted that improvements are already visible in neighborhoods such as Ilha do Caxangá, where residents have reported a reduction in odors and environmental improvements. The meeting included representatives from several associations, including Rosário, Perpétuo, Morro do Tiro, Beira Linha, Cascata dos Amores, Alto, Santa Cecília, and Pimentel.
