Águas Guariroba rolls out QR‑code water bill in Campo Grande

Customers of Águas Guariroba in Campo Grande are now receiving a redesigned water bill that complies with the national Nota Fiscal de Água e Saneamento Eletrônica (NFAg) standard. The new layout adds two QR codes: one for Pix payment and another that links to the full electronic tax invoice (DANFE‑AG) on the state treasury portal.

The change is purely visual; tariffs and consumption calculations remain unchanged. The bill also displays acronyms linked to Brazil’s upcoming tax reform (IBS, CBS) but these taxes are not yet in force and do not affect the amount due. Officials emphasized that the document retains its legal validity for payment proof and that consumers should verify the QR‑code details to avoid mistaking the bill for a fraudulent boleto.
