Guasave producers prioritize bean and corn planting
Agricultural producers in Guasave, Sinaloa, are showing strong interest in planting beans and corn for the upcoming agricultural cycle. According to Teodoro López Menchaca, president of the Asociación de Agricultores del Río Sinaloa Poniente, interest in chickpeas has decreased compared to the previous year.
Optimism regarding the next cycle is supported by current water availability and market prices. Additionally, weather forecasts suggesting increased rainfall and a reduction in extreme heat compared to last year are expected to create favorable conditions for the sector.
