Guasave residence secured by Mexican Army with eight vehicles

The Mexican Army and state police have surrounded a residence in the western sector of Guasave, Sinaloa, where eight vehicles were discovered. According to security sources, four of these vehicles feature factory or artisanal armor, a type of equipment frequently used by organized crime for tactical operations.

The property, located near the Fundadores residential area and Canal 27, has been under heavy surveillance since Tuesday afternoon. Special forces and federal units have maintained a perimeter to prevent anyone from entering or leaving the premises.

The General Prosecutor's Office is currently awaiting a federal judge's authorization for a search warrant to enter the property. Once granted, authorities intend to inspect the vehicles, verify serial numbers, and search for weapons, drugs, or other tactical equipment. This operation follows several days of increased military presence in the region, including helicopter flyovers and large convoys of federal units patrolling various neighborhoods since Sunday.
