Guasave sees federal security deployment and discovery of shot vehicle

A significant deployment of federal forces has been recorded in the municipality of Guasave, Sinaloa. The operation involves elements from the Mexican Army, the Secretariat of the Navy (Semar), and the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC). The convoy, consisting of approximately 10 units including armored vehicles such as the Ocelotl, has been conducting patrols and interventions across both urban and rural sectors, including the city center and areas near the 16 de Septiembre and 6 de Noviembre boulevards.

In a separate incident in the Batamote area of Guasave, authorities discovered an abandoned gray 2013 Chrysler 300S inside the La Cuchilla cemetery. The vehicle showed visible damage from gunfire, specifically on the driver-side windshield and the rear right door. The State Attorney General's Office (FGE) and the Argos Group arrived at the scene to secure the area and conduct forensic investigations. The vehicle has been seized for further investigation.
