Guastalla student protest leads to shopping center disturbance
A student protest in Guastalla, Reggio Emilia, escalated on October 19, leading to a disturbance at the Guastalla 2 shopping center. While local authorities confirmed that no schools were occupied and educational activities continued normally, a group of individuals caused tension and property damage at the commercial center.
The municipality reported that the incident involved a broken glass pane and was largely caused by a few individuals, some of whom were reportedly not from local schools, who arrived to create disorder. The National Coordination of Teachers of the Human Rights Discipline (CNDDU) condemned the actions, stating that the behavior went beyond legitimate protest and called for accountability and reparations for the damages caused.
