Guatemala and El Salvador promote Interoceanic Corridor investment

The development of the Guatemala and El Salvador Interoceanic Corridor is seeking to attract Salvadoran investors and businesses through a new Atlantic port logistics platform. The San Jorge International Logistics Center (CLI San Jorge) is designed to provide spaces for industry, storage, and international trade services.

On November 13, a business meeting will be held in San Salvador to present opportunities regarding the CLI San Jorge and COINGT, a digital asset that allows participation in the current phase of the corridor. COINGT is regulated under Salvadoran digital asset legislation, offering a way for investors to participate in the future flows of the issuing company.

Guillermo Catalán, president of the Consorcio Interoceánico de Guatemala S.A. (CIGSA), stated that the project aims to connect two oceans to serve global commerce. The event is supported by major Salvadoran business associations, including the Salvadoran Association of Industrialists (ASI), the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of El Salvador (CAMARASAL), and the Exporters Corporation of El Salvador (COEXPORT).
