In Iguala, Guerrero, municipal authorities said the city's security strategy is coordinated among the three levels of government and includes traffic management adjustments for school‑closing ceremonies. Officials emphasized that the investigation into the disappearance of the 43 Ayotzinapa students remains under federal jurisdiction, that recent police vehicle donations were unusable, and that the return of municipal police weapons is still pending.
