Guatemala appoints Wilberto Julián Rojas as Vice Minister of Revenue

The Ministry of Public Finance (Minfin) has appointed Wilberto Julián Rojas as the new Vice Minister of Revenue and Fiscal Evaluation. In this role, Rojas will be responsible for formulating fiscal policy, analyzing state revenue, and evaluating public finances.

Rojas is a public accountant and auditor and a graduate of the University of San Carlos of Guatemala (USAC). His academic background includes a master's degree in Public Administration Auditing from Universidad Galileo and advanced doctoral studies in Financial Auditing with an emphasis on governmental internal control.

His professional experience includes serving as the director of the Trust Directorate at Minfin, a departmental head of Auditing at the Comptroller General of Accounts (CGC), and a financial analyst at the Secretariat of Planning and Programming of the Presidency (Segeplan).
