Central America Travel Market 2026 convenes in Guatemala

The 15th edition of the Central America Travel Market (CATM 2026) is currently taking place at the Tikal Futura Hotel Convention Center in Guatemala City. The regional trade fair aims to promote Central America as an integrated multi-destination circuit rather than a collection of isolated markets.

The event features approximately 150 regional exhibitors and 96 international buyers from North America, South America, and Europe. Organizers project around 3,600 business appointments, with an aim to generate long-term business exceeding $25 million.

Participating nations include Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic. Belize has deployed a large delegation of 42 delegates, highlighting new connectivity such as the Frankfurt-to-Belize flight by Discover Airlines. Honduras is represented by 34 tourism entrepreneurs seeking to expand their international presence.
