Guatemala perception survey shows Arévalo trailing Giammattei and Morales
A recent perception survey conducted by the Fundación Libertad y Desarrollo in alliance with CID Gallup indicates that Guatemalan President Bernardo Arévalo is perceived less favorably than political figures Giammattei and Morales.
Discussions regarding the survey have centered on criticisms of its sample size, which included approximately 1,200 Guatemalans. However, statistical experts, including Omar Marroquín from the University of San Carlos of Guatemala, note that for a population exceeding 18 million, a sample of this size is statistically sufficient. Using a 95% confidence level and a margin of error of ±2.8%, the methodology aligns with standard statistical formulas for large populations.
