Guatemala's Ministry of Public names Carlos Zamora as new press chief

Guatemala's Ministry of Public (MP) announced the appointment of Carlos Zamora as the new chief of its Information and Press Department, succeeding Moisés Ortiz. The change is part of a broader restructuring following the arrival of Attorney General Gabriel García Luna.

Zamora holds a licentiate in Diplomacy and International Relations, a master's in Public Image and Strategic Media Planning, and additional training in digital reputation, public management, and international protocol. He previously served as a communications coordinator in the Ministry of Economy and has experience in institutional communication, digital positioning, audiovisual coverage, and social‑media management. In his new role, Zamora will coordinate the MP's public communication, media relations, and information dissemination to the public.
