Guayaquil hosts cacao history talks and pop culture fair

The Panama Street area in Guayaquil marked the start of the holiday period with various recreational and cultural activities. A foam event drew families to the children's play area, while a dedicated fair focused on anime, comics, and pop culture offered collectors various themed items.

As part of the cultural agenda, the National Cocoa Museum of Guayaquil hosted a lecture titled “Ecuador: history and tradition of cocoa.” Historian and researcher Freddy Amores P. led the session, which explored the historical, economic, scientific, and technological aspects of the country's emblematic product. Amores highlighted the Guayas province as the birthplace of Ecuador's commercial cocoa tradition.
