GET Forum 2026 in Quito focuses on entrepreneurship and investment

The GET Forum 2026, organized by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Group, is currently taking place in Quito, Ecuador, from October 5 to 7. The event serves as a regional hub for entrepreneurs, investors, academics, and public sector representatives from Latin America and the Caribbean.

President Daniel Noboa participated in the forum, emphasizing the importance of Ecuadorian human talent and the need to create opportunities for youth and entrepreneurs to strengthen economic activity. The forum focuses on key pillars such as technological skill development, increasing access to venture capital, and establishing policies to bolster innovation ecosystems.

Discussions at the event aim to address how to transform ideas into scalable businesses. Experts, including Graham Macmillan, CEO of IDB Lab, highlighted that connecting entrepreneurs to markets and capital is essential for growth, noting that access to capital remains a significant limiting factor for many ventures.
