Guayaquil Municipal Band Performs at Artisan Market

The Guayaquil Municipal Band staged a live concert in the city’s Artisan Market, marking the start of the July festive celebrations. The performance featured tropical and traditional repertoire, drawing merchants, local and foreign tourists, and passers‑by who joined in singing and dancing. The event is part of a broader cultural programme that includes 17 musical interventions across Guayaquil’s markets, plazas and public spaces during the week, culminating on July 25 with a special concert commemorating the city’s 491st anniversary.

The municipal initiative aims to strengthen local identity, revitalize public areas and provide free access to culture for residents and visitors alike.
