Guayaquil receives luxury cruise ship Crystal Symphony

The luxury cruise ship Crystal Symphony arrived in Guayaquil on Saturday, September 5, bringing approximately 483 passengers and 503 crew members to the city. The arrival of the 51,068-ton vessel, which flies the Bahamian flag and is registered in Nassau, serves to bolster Guayaquil's position as an international tourism gateway.

During the stopover, visitors explored several of the city's key cultural and heritage sites, including the Malecón 2000, the National Cocoa Museum, and Seminario Park, also known as the Iguana Park. Travelers highlighted the local hospitality and gastronomy, specifically noting the quality of local seafood such as shrimp and tuna.

Local authorities, including the Directorate of Tourism and Special Events, are coordinating with various municipal entities to maintain public spaces and ensure a high-quality experience for international visitors as the city continues to promote its urban tourism offerings.
