Guayaquil to host 2026 South American School Games

Guayaquil has been confirmed as the host city for the 2026 South American School Games. The event is scheduled to take place from November 30 to December 7, 2026.

The competition will bring together more than 3,000 young athletes between the ages of 12 and 14 from across South America. Matches and competitions will be held at venues managed by the Guayas Sports Federation. This edition will be the first to include competitions for athletes with physical and intellectual disabilities, aiming for full inclusivity.

The organization is a coordinated effort between the South American Sports Council (CONSUDE), the Ministry of Education, Sport and Culture, and the Guayas Sports Federation. Recent meetings in Guayaquil focused on logistics, including accommodation, food, transportation, medical services, security, and accreditation processes for visiting delegations.
