Gubbio hosts 61st Trofeo Luigi Fagioli hill‑climb finale with exhibition and new book

The 61st Trofeo Luigi Fagioli, the first "finale" of the 2026 Italian Supersalita Championship, will take place in Gubbio, Umbria from 21 to 23 August. The race is preceded by a series of cultural events that begin on 12 August. An interactive photographic exhibition titled "I favolosi sessanta" opens at the Galleria della Porta, showcasing black‑and‑white images and multimedia material that trace the race’s history from its inaugural edition in 1966 through the 1980s, 1990s and recent years. The display highlights all past winners, local pilots and personalities, and includes historic race cars and a video archive, as well as a section on the centenary of the Automobile Club Perugia.

On the same day the exhibition is inaugurated, the second volume of the book series "Di piloti, bolidi e altre storie" is presented. Written and photographed by Tonino Menichetti, the new volume continues the chronicle of the Trofeo Luigi Fagioli up to the 2025 edition, completing the narrative of the race’s sixty‑year legacy. Both the exhibition and the book will remain available to the public until 23 August, offering fans and visitors a comprehensive look at the event’s heritage ahead of the upcoming competition.
