Gubbio to host IFMAR 2026 RC On-Road World Championship

Gubbio is set to host the IFMAR 2026 RC On-Road 1/10 IC Track World Championship at the Miniautodromo Mario Rosati. The event is scheduled to take place from September 3 to September 12, with official racing days running from September 6 to September 12.

Approximately 130 pilots from 21 different nations are expected to participate, alongside technicians, mechanics, and enthusiasts. The competition will feature 1/10 scale internal combustion engine models. Notable competitors include the defending world champion, Jilles Groskamp from the Netherlands, as well as several Italian drivers such as Dario Balestri, Carmine Raiola, and Lamberto Collari.

Local officials, including Mayor Vittorio Fiorucci and Giuseppe Agostinelli, president of the Club Automodellistico 5 Colli, presented the event at Palazzo Pretorio. The club is currently managing preparations for the facility to accommodate the international scale of the competition.
