Gucci maintains extensive fashion archive in Florence
Gucci preserves its brand heritage through a specialized archive located in an unmarked building in Florence. Situated across the River Arno from the brand’s flagship Palazzo boutique, the archive is housed in the Palazzo Settimanni, a former Renaissance-era workshop and aristocratic residence acquired by Gucci in 1953.
The facility serves as a vital resource for safeguarding the brand’s history and inspiring creative teams. While the Palazzo Settimanni previously functioned as a design laboratory and showroom, the archive now acts as a central repository for the company’s historical assets.
