Gudovac Fairgrounds to receive 10 million euro modernization fund

The Croatian government has secured 10 million euros for the complete revitalization and modernization of the Gudovac Fairgrounds. Announced during the opening of the 33rd Bjelovar International Autumn Fair, Minister of Agriculture David Vlajčić confirmed the funding, which aims to upgrade infrastructure to better serve farmers, exhibitors, and visitors.

This year's fair features over 400 exhibitors and focuses heavily on livestock, with 193 exhibitors participating in the animal exhibition. Due to epidemiological restrictions regarding African swine fever and small ruminant disease, pigs, sheep, and goats are not being exhibited.

Additionally, Hrvoje Hefer, director of the Croatian Agency for Agriculture and Food (HAPIH), announced plans for the construction of a new Livestock Center, a project intended to further support the development of the agricultural sector.
