Águeda Municipality increases funding for local sports development

The Águeda Municipality has opened applications for its Sports Development Support Program, aimed at assisting local clubs, associations, and athletes. The municipal executive has announced an increase in the total budget allocated for this edition compared to the previous year.

Vice-President Edson Santos stated that the funding is part of a strategy to view sports as an investment in health, training, and social cohesion rather than just a competitive endeavor. The program seeks to support the development of children and youth through local sports organizations. Applications are open until December 31, with exceptions for sports seasons that begin later.
