Águeda Municipality receives top honors for transparency and digital accessibility

The Municipality of Águeda has received multiple high-level recognitions regarding its administrative transparency and digital services.

The municipality achieved the Gold Seal for Usability and Accessibility for its website, awarded by the Agency for Technological Reform of the State (ARTE). This distinction follows an audit involving manual verification and automated tools, such as AccessMonitor, where the site scored a 9 or higher. Mayor Jorge Almeida stated the award reflects a commitment to an inclusive public administration that serves all citizens, regardless of functional limitations.

Additionally, Águeda secured first place in the national transparency ranking for Portuguese municipalities, as determined by the Dynamic Transparency Index (DYNTRA). The municipality achieved a perfect score of 100%, meeting all 138 indicators evaluated by the platform. These indicators cover institutional organization, economic-financial management, public procurement, urbanism, and public works.
