Guenther Steiner proposes joint F1 and MotoGP events

Guenther Steiner, part of the investment group that recently acquired the Red Bull KTM Tech3 MotoGP and Moto3 teams, has suggested that Formula 1 and MotoGP could potentially share a race weekend within the next five years. Steiner noted that such a crossover would likely serve as a special one-off event rather than a permanent fixture, citing venues like Silverstone as capable of hosting both disciplines.

The prospect of shared events follows Liberty Media’s acquisition of an 84% stake in Dorna Sports, the commercial rights holder of MotoGP, which brought both premier motorsport series under the same commercial umbrella.

Separately, Steiner addressed the current structure of the Tech3 squad, noting the lack of a Moto2 presence despite the team's involvement in MotoGP and Moto3. While the team is currently committed to Moto3, Steiner stated he is not ruling out a return to the Moto2 class in the future to complete the racing ladder.
