Guerreras de Puebla announces 2026 State Volleyball League

The professional team Guerreras de Puebla has announced the creation of the 2026 State Volleyball League. The competitive tournament aims to strengthen sports practice and talent detection in the region, expecting to gather more than 2,000 male and female athletes. The competition will be structured across twelve strategic regions using various educational venues for qualifying stages. A total of 16 teams will advance to the state stage, held at Arena BUAP and the Miguel Hidalgo Gymnasium. Financial incentives, including cash prizes for the top three finishers, will be awarded to recognize performance.

In related sports news, the Government of Puebla recognized a youth baseball team from Tepanco de López after their victory in the 2026 Torneo del Mayab in Cancún. The team, consisting of 14 children aged 7 and 8, won the final with a 3-0 score. Additionally, Tepanco de López is scheduled to host the Second Latin Fraternity Sports Encounter on October 29, featuring delegations from countries including Colombia, Panama, the Dominican Republic, and the United States.
