Guerrero and Federal Governments Advance Integrated Aid Plan for Mountain Communities
The governments of Guerrero and Mexico met in Chilapa de Álvarez to review progress on the Plan Integral de Atención a la Región, which targets 19 villages in the Montaña Alta and Montaña Baja areas. The meeting evaluated 13 strategic axes aimed at restoring rights, tackling structural social problems and expanding development opportunities.
The session was led by Arturo Medina and José Luis Rodríguez Díaz de León, with state subsecretary Francisco Rodríguez Cisneros representing Governor Evelyn Salgado Pineda’s administration. The officials stressed the need for permanent coordination among federal, state and municipal authorities to improve living conditions for the region’s most vulnerable residents.
